In Advent, followers of Jesus don’t look to this world for comfort. We don’t look to lights, cookies, or nostalgia. The comfort, must come from somewhere else, outside of our own human inventions to ease the distress. Instead, we raise our heads and look to the one true light, Jesus Christ, who has entered into the world that He created. In Jesus, our redemption is drawing near.
