The Church: What is it & Why does it matter?

In the time and place we find ourselves, questions over the need for the church - even for Christians - are being asked. Who needs the church when you can listen to a far better sermon/podcast from somewhere else? Who needs the church when we can ask AI all of our theological questions, and even have AI pray for us when we're feeling down? Who needs a church community when we can have all the community we want from the safety of a phone?

If we have a faulty understanding of what the church is, and why the church matters, those are perfectly reasonable questions.
